Over the years the combat uniform pattern has changed multiple times for the Air Force and Army. Both Airmen and Army soldiers have voiced concern about the pattern design, comfort, and safety features of the utility uniform.

For Army soldiers, the OCP camo or Scorpion W2 pattern became available for purchase starting in July 2015. It will be their required ACU uniform camo pattern on October 1, 2019. Until the Mandatory Wear Date Army soldiers can wear combinations of UCP, OCP, and OCIE (all components must be the same camouflage pattern).

Starting in late 2018 Airmen could purchase OCPs at a variety of bases and around October 2019, OCP ABUs will be available for purchase online. As of June 1, 2020, Coyote Brown boots, DLA-issued green socks and Tan T-shirts must be worn when wearing their utility uniform. The Air Force OCP Mandatory Wear Date is April 1, 2021, in addition, all patches must be Spice Brown background.

To complete the OCP Uniform, additional components are required. All the uniform requirements are listed in the DA Pam 670-1. Here at Patriot Outfitters, we are proud to offer a large selection of OCP Scorpion W2 clothing as well as Coyote Tan 499 colored components.

One of the most popular OCP-approved boots is the Nike SFB Gen 2 Lt Boot. This uni-sex Nike OCP boot features the breathability, flexibility, and performance you would expect to find in an athletic shoe. To ensure that our military soldiers have the necessary uniform footwear requirements, Patriot Outfitters also offers a variety of Nike SFB boots, including the SFB Gen 2 and SFB Field 2 boots.

Patriot Outfitters is proud to offer our military the opportunity to get their OCP uniform components and Coyote Brown boots today. There are certain features that have been changed or added in the new uniform that give the Army and USAF personnel opportunities to blend more effectively into a variety of environments. To protect the military while they are in the field, TRU-SPEC and Propper have designed AR 670-1 compliant uniforms that meet and exceed the specifications that are outlined in the DA Pam 670-1.

Over the years the combat uniform patterns have changed for the Air Force and Army. With the desire to have a standard camouflage pattern, the Air Force has adopted the Army-approved Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). This adoption of the Scorpion W2 pattern celebrates the warfare connection that the Air Force has with the Army and gives additional protection to the Airmen

The OCP military uniform has a six-color palette and smooth lines, allowing its camouflage to better blend into various environments. The pattern resembles MultiCam with muted greens, light beige, and dark brown colors, but uses fewer beige/brown patches and no vertical twig and branch elements.

To complete the OCP Uniform, there are additional items that are needed. All the uniform requirements are listed in the DA Pam 670-1. JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Trainees entering into Basic Military Training, or BMT, at the 37th Training Wing this week are the first group to be issued the new Operational Camouflage Pattern, or OCP, uniforms.

When Air Force officials announced last year they are adopting the Army OCP as the official utility uniform, they developed a three-year roll-out timeline across the force for the entire change over. This week puts them on target for issuing to the newest members.

Operational Camouflage Pattern uniforms are now being phased in throughout the year at the Military Clothing Sales store in the Tinker Main Exchange. The transition to OCP's will be complete April. 1, 2021. (U.S. Air Force photo/Kelly White)

I have the plain black version. It works in uniform as a Volunteer Medic, but also as my casual walking around jacket. I just remove or change the arm patches. It still looks sharp. It is super warm as well. If I had to find a fault, that would be it. Although I am a 250 lb Canadian, that wears shorts in the winter. So almost anything is to hot for me. There are tons of pockets. Some hidden ones. The deep pockets on the front, and my favourite is the back pocket. It is perfect for a touque and light mittens.

The Army Green Service Uniform was inspired and based off the uniform worn by America's "Greatest Generation" as they won World War II. Now, America's next greatest generation will wear a modern version of this uniform as they develop into the smart, thoughtful, innovative leaders of character outlined in the Army Vision.

This uniform is one of the most admired and recognizable uniforms in the Army's history. It was worn by Soldiers during World War II and the Korean War. The reintroduction of this uniform is meant to inspire trust and confidence in our Soldiers' professionalism and readiness.

The Army is currently the only service that does not have a uniform for everyday business environments. The Green uniform will be the everyday service uniform for all Soldiers and the current Army Service Uniform (ASU) will serve for occasions requiring more formal dress. Currently, the Army and Air Force each have one dress uniform, the Marine Corps has two dress uniforms, and the Navy has three dress uniforms.

Headquarters, Department of the Army directed PEO Soldier to identify service uniform options more appropriate for a business environment. Surveys and polling data indicated strong, force-wide support for the AGSU. The Army is currently the only Service without a uniform for everyday business environments. The AGSU sets a more appropriate standard for professionalism in an office setting than the Army Service Uniform or the Army Combat Uniform. 041b061a72
